'Pearl' featured at deadCENTER Film Festival in Oklahoma City, June 10-14, 2009

The Chickasaw Nation's production of "Pearl" has been selected as one of the narrative feature films that will be showcased during the 9th Annual deadCENTER Film Festival in Oklahoma City, June 10-14, 2009.

"Pearl" will make its deadCENTER premiere on Thursday, June 11, 8:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art at 415 Couch Drive in Oklahoma City.

"As an actor, the opportunity to work with such a skilled and passionate team on a project like 'Pearl' is a rare and welcome blessing," states Andrew Sensenig, who played Pearl's father, George Carter, Sr. "I applaud the Chickasaw Nation on its encouragement and support throughout the entire process. Let's only hope this is the first of many Chickasaw stories to be shared with friends and family around the world."

During the five day festival, deadCENTER will screen more than 90 films in seven downtown Oklahoma City locations. Schedules and more information about the festival are available at http://deadcenter.bside.com/2009/. Tickets for the Thursday night screening of "Pearl" are $10 and will go on sale 15 minutes prior to the show.
